If you’re already starting to fall off the wagon with your “new year, new you” goals and need some self-care inspiration, Amber’s got your back! Her new single, “Love Who You Are” is an uplifting yet laid back song. It encourages you to center into your heart and simply be happy with who you are at your essence, no matter what happens in life. Amber feels her soul mission as an artist is to inspire you to take more action from a place of love, whether that be to yourself, to others, or to the planet. She captivates this message beautifully in this song. Amber states:
“We can really beat ourselves up on the inside if we don’t meet the high expectations we set for ourselves. We talk to ourselves in ways we would never talk to a friend or loved one. My hope is that this song inspires you to be kinder and gentler to yourself when things get tough.”
The creative process of “Love Who You Are” came in waves throughout the year of 2022. Amber’s first moment of inspiration for the song came from a TikTok Video that she came across of someone playing a soothing guitar riff. The person playing in the video was asking for others to put lyrics over it. Amber thought it sounded like a fun songwriting exercise

and wrote part of the first verse. Later on in the year, while pet sitting one day, she was reminded of the song and added a chorus, changed the melody as well as the guitar, into something entirely new that was inspired by Jack Johnson’s music. Last October, she showed the song start to her friend Scott Buccholz while attending the Hawaii Songwriting Festival. The two decided to co-write the rest of it together that day and turned it into the song it is today.
After completing the song, Amber decided that it would be the perfect single to put out at the beginning of the New Year. Amber released “Love Who You Are” on all streaming platforms on Friday, January 20th. This song was produced, mixed, and mastered by Sean Rogers; instruments by Sean Rogers and Baggio; Photography for the release was by Kirk Summers.
